Bel Amour "Beautiful Love"
Our goal at Bel Amour Labradors is to produce high quality labrador puppies that are bred to the Standards of AKC. We are a small hobby labrador breeder and only produce 1 to 3 carefully thought out litters a year. AKC recognizes 3 colors: black, yellow (ranging from light yellow to fox red) and chocolate. We do NOT breed silver, charcoal, champagne or any other colors as they are not pure bred Labradors and are not recognized by the Labrador Club. We chose Labrador Retrievers to train, love and breed because we believe they are the perfect canine companion. They are extremely intelligent, eager to please, easy to train, affectionate and most importantly they provide unconditional love and devotion. Our dogs have become irreplaceable to our family and that is our hope for our puppies future homes. All of our puppies are sold on limited AKC registration unless otherwise agreed upon. Limited registration means that the dog may not be bred, however they can still participate in AKC obedience, rally and agility. All puppies come with AKC paperwork, AKC reunite microchip, health guarantee (26 months hips, eyes and heart, free from genetic diseases I test for), de-wormed, first shot, health record, training tips, sample of puppy food and a toy. We are also available for the life of the puppy to offer help and advice. We train our dogs in obedience, conformation, rally and do therapy work with them. We are more than happy to help you get started in any of these venues! We also love to receive pictures of our puppies in their new homes!

The health of our labrador puppies is of primary importance at Bel Amour Labradors. Our breeding dogs are certified through OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) for their hips and elbows. Their eyes are checked and cleared by a board certified ACVO ophthalmologist. Their hearts are cleared from any evidence of congenital cardiac disease. They are also tested for PRA (Blindness) EIC (Exercise induced collapse) CNM (Centronuclear Myopathy) HNPK (Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis) DM (Degenerative Myelopathy) and they are DD (Dilute Free) Every stud we use is held to these health standards as well. As a breeder we feel health is extremely important. All of our puppies are raised in our home so we can provide the special attention and socialization they need to become great adult dogs. A Furever Friend
The most distinguishing characteristics of the Labrador Retriever are its short, dense, weather resistant coat; an "otter" tail; a clean-cut head with broad back skull and moderate stop; powerful jaws; and its "kind," friendly eyes, expressing character, intelligence and good temperament. We believe a good temperament in our Labradors is very important because it enables us to produce family pets that you will be proud to own and love! We hold our Labradors to the highest standards and breed to produce these characteristics. The labrador puppies we choose for breeding are required to pass strict temperament tests in order to qualify for this privilege. As a labrador breeder we feel it is very important to make improving the breed one of our top priorities.
